Rabbi Tave got his first exposure to experiential, alternative education, at a Montessori-inspired yeshiva. The opportunity to sit back and watch children excitedly engage a prepared environment was an eye-opening experience.
He has presented 100s of workshops and webinars and authored numerous blog posts on the subject of how best to produce real learning. His learning materials have been used around the world and were all inspired by the concept of creating a learning experience rather than a teacher-centered lesson.
Currently, Rabbi Tave is teaching at Netivot Montessori in East Brunswick, NJ, and serving as the Director of Curriculum Development with a focus on the development and refinement of Jewish Montessori learning materials while also driving the effort to establish Da'ehu in Passaic, NJ, and in Monsey, NY. He is also the author of Puk Chazi, a kuntress which focuses on accurate Hebrew reading and the correct observance of many Tefillah related mitzvos.
Rabbi Tave received his BA in Liberal Arts with a Certificate in Education from the University of Florida and his MA in Jewish Education from Touro University in addition to numerous training courses over the years from Ner l'Elef, Torah u'Mesorah and the YOU Lead program. He has studied in many yeshivos and kollelim in Eretz Yisrael and received s'micha from the Vaad Mishmeres STa"M in Jerusalem. He has been working in education for over 30 years, constantly striving to find what it takes for people to draw closer to Hashem and His Torah.
